Location: Edinburg, TX · Type: Full-time, on-site with some work-from-home flexibility
We are looking for a Design Drafter with two to three years of AutoCAD experience to prepare and revise drawings across our water and wastewater treatment projects. Experience in treatment plant design drafting is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing drawings and revising existing engineering drawings.
- Assist with preparing and revising plot drawings.
- Adhere to company and client drafting standards and procedures.
- Assist in drafting design and documentation for various projects.
- Research solutions to project concerns and recommend solutions to design and permitting problems.
- Use CAD software for client projects after being trained.
- Interpret and incorporate design codes and specifications related to design requirements.
- Organize and maintain all revisions of project drawings, plot files, and project-related information in a logical and well-structured manner.
- Execute changes to designs or sketches and redlines or mark-ups on ongoing projects.
- Work with leaders and team members to facilitate and support internal change efforts to increase organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED, documentation required.
- College degree or some college coursework in drafting technology, or specialized CAD certification, preferred.
- Ability to learn and effectively utilize new CAD software programs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, designers, and others in a multi-discipline project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues and accomplish objectives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Software
